Welcome to Ty Dysgu, a Pupil Referral Unit built on compassion, understanding, and the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed.
As Head of Centre, I am proud to lead a school that places the individual at the centre of everything we do. At Ty Dysgu, we recognise that every learner’s journey is unique. Many of our pupils arrive having faced significant challenges, and it is our role to provide not only education, but stability, encouragement, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Our vision is clear: to help young people move beyond Ty Dysgu into pathways that best suit their aspirations—whether that is a return to mainstream education, alternative provision, further education, apprenticeships, or employment. We strive to support our learners in developing a sense of hope, pride, and a clear vision for their future, while helping them to develop a strong sense of identity and belonging.
To achieve this, we have created an inclusive, supportive environment where every pupil is valued, nurtured, and empowered to reach their full potential, both academically and personally. Through personalised learning, strong relationship building, and a commitment to restorative practice, we ensure that each learner feels safe, respected, and understood.
Our dedicated staff are committed to walking alongside each young person on their journey, helping them to rebuild confidence, develop resilience, and recognise their own potential. We believe that with the right support, every learner can move forward positively and successfully.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Ty Dysgu. We are proud of the work we do and the difference we make in the lives of our young people, and we look forward to supporting them as they take their next steps.
